Business incubators facilitate young startups to innovate and grow. They provide education, professional services, mentorship, workspaces, and access to investors to aspiring entrepreneurs. These resources support ideas to take shape and survive the early stages of business through a safe space for experiment and risk navigation. They are now a vital part of the higher education landscape to provide forums for idea exchange on campus and facilitate connections that speed innovative ideas from concept to reality.

The Deccan Education Society is an academic ecosystem with a network of 57 academic institutions in 07 locations, comprising of a community built over one and a half century, rich with networks, resources, and physical environments essential to fostering entrepreneurial exploration and hands-on entrepreneurial skills. Accordingly, DES’s Dr.P.C.Shejwalkar Centre for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (DSCEI) has been conceived as a nursery enabling stimulus to budding entrepreneurs to shape their thought process, build their teams, document a business plan, test their ideas, and launch the product or service in the wide-open market.

DSCEI shall have direct access to nearly 20,000 undergraduate and post graduate students from HEI under the aegis of DES, and potential to reach out to thousands of students from Pune city and many alumni who are aspiring entrepreneurs and job creators. Located in the heart of Pune city, it is pitched to offer key geographical advantage to startups in terms of access to a well-equipped, on campus startup ecosystem as well as backward and forward linkages to peripheral and support industry and service providers.
